What is Mediation?

Mediation is a practical, voluntary and highly effective process by which parties in dispute can resolve their differences without going to court. The mediation process often leads to a settlement of the dispute within a single day.

Advantages of Mediation

Mediation has several advantages in comparison to the process of litigation including for example;

  • Speed
  • Cost effectiveness
  • Flexibility

What is a Mediator?

A mediator is a neutral, professionally qualified individual, who helps the parties in dispute reach their own agreement, without making any judgement or giving any opinion. The decision to settle the dispute and the detailed terms of any settlement agreement are matters, which are decided by the parties themselves.
